West Warwick 52, Juanita Sanchez 43

Victoria Bird scored 20, hitting four 3-pointers along the way as West Warwick took down Juanita Sanchez, 52-43. Kellylyn Kozlin won the battle of the freshmen stars, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 boards for the Wizards (4-1 Division II) while Sabanna Berrios, the talented freshman for the Cavaliers (2-3 D-II), scored 14. Michelle Moreno led Juanita Sanchez with 16 points.

DIVISION I

East Greenwich 57, Barrington 46

Freshman Alex Mega was unstoppable, hitting four 3-pointers on her way to 26 points as East Greenwich took down Barrington 57-46. Maddie Rogers added 10 in the win for the Avengers (3-2 Division I-B) while Skyler Sullivan added eight. Cary Heterick led the Eagles (1-4 I-B) with 20 points.

St. Raphael 71, Johnston 43

Tatum Forbes scored 14 and St. Raphael had two others in double figures as the Saints downed Johnston, 71-43. Elizabeth Bruno and Chloe Rayko both scored 11 in the win for St. Raphael (4-1 Division I-C). Tori Viau led the Panthers (3-2 I-A) with 17 points.

Moses Brown 47, Rogers 33

Moses Brown's lucky number was 11 as three Quakers scored that many points in their 47-33 win over Rogers. Morgan Plouffe, Meghan Themistocle and Maura O'Malley did most of the damage for the Quakers (4-3 Division I-A) with their 11-point nights. Danaysha Cherry led the Vikings (1-5 I-C) with 12 points in the loss.

South Kingstown 74, New London (Conn.) 45

Five players for South Kingstown reached double-figures, led by Faith Hutchins' 12 points, as the Rebels rolled past New London, Conn., 74-45, in non-league action. Jane Carr, Sydni Verterholm, Jami Hill and Hayden Hill all had 10 points each in the victory, lifting South Kingstown's record to 9-1 overall (5-0 in RIIL play).

DIVISION II

Classical 69, Cumberland 17

Nina Karlin scored 23 points and Jasmine DePina had 18 as Classical rolled Cumberland, 69-17. The Purple (5-0 Division II) allowed only seven points in the first half. Stephanie Walker added nine points in the win. Abby LaRose led the Clippers (2-3 D-II) with six points.

Tiverton 60, Middletown 49

Mariah Ramos paced Tiverton with a game-high 27 points, with a pair from beyond the arc, to help the Tigers to a 60-49 win over Middletown. Emma Lopes scored 10 to help the Tigers get to 3-2 in Division II. Aja Caldwell added eight in the win. Grace Haskell posted 15 points in the loss for the Islanders (2-4 D-II).

Shea 63, Mount St. Charles 46

Yasmine Santos scored a game-high 21 points to lead Shea past Mount St. Charles, 63-46, in their Division II matchup. Allison Dos Santos and Jaida Robinson each added 14 points for the Raiders (3-2), who built a 14-point halftime lead and held on for the win. Lauren Cunanan led Mount (0-5) with 20 points in the loss.

North Providence 43, Prout 37

North Providence got off to a slow start but took over in the second half as three Cougars finished in double figures in their 43-37 win over Prout. Stephanie Saucier led the way for NP (3-2 Division II) with 11 points. Karissa Sherman and Alena Rizzo scored 10 points apiece in the win. Zoe Moan scored 14 points for the Crusaders (2-3 D-II) in the loss.

DIVISION III

Hope 35, Blackstone Valley Prep 29

Taylor Prout scored 17 points and Sarah Keith hit four 3-pointers in her 15-point night, helping Hope beat Blackstone Valley Prep, 35-29, for its first win of the season. Faith Souza scored the remaining three points for the Blue Wave (1-3 Division III). Mercy Oyedele led the Pride (0-6 D-III) with nine points.

Block Island 38, Davies 21

Ruby Crawford scored 18 points to get Block Island back on track with a 38-21 win over Davies. Rory Crawford added seven for the Hurricanes (4-5 Division III), who stopped a three-game slide with the win. Charlotte Hall and Chloe Weber both chipped in with four points apiece. Jennifer Cruz led the Patriots (1-4 D-III) with seven points.

Burrillville 34, Central Falls 21

Alyssa Simpson scored nine points and teammate Avery Clifford added seven to help Burrillville top Central Falls, 34-21, in Division III. Brooke Pinocci added six points in the win for the Broncos (4-0 Division III). Angel Falur led the Warriors (1-4 D-III) with six points in the loss.

Woonsocket 60, Lincoln 44

Bella Mencarini scored 18 points as Woonsocket remained atop the Division III standings with a commanding 60-44 win over Lincoln. Peyton Cahill and Abby Desjardin each scored eight points in the win for the Villa Novans, who are now 5-0 in Division III. Yaritza Lara and Makayla Horan both scored 11 in the loss for the Lions (4-3 D-III).

Mount Pleasant 58, Toll Gate 20

Laura Monteiro and Francheska Contreras each posted double-doubles as Mount Pleasant easily defeated Toll Gate, 58-20. Monteiro scored a game-high 15 points, Contreras added 11 points and both pulled down 10 rebounds apiece for the Kilties (4-1 Division III). Amber Quinones chipped in with 12 points in the win while Kelsey Hatch scored 10. Samantha Arnold led the Titans (4-3 D-III) with six points.

Pilgrim 49, St. Patrick 21

Pilgrim had the defense working early and the offense caught up late in a 49-21 win over St. Patrick. Nadine Ogni scored nine points to lead the Patriots (3-2 Division III) and Faith Meade added eight. Sara Langevin, Grace Maguire, Hannah French and Alysia Medeiros scored six points apiece in the win. Moeisha Joseph led the Padres (0-6 D-III) with eight points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Cumberland 62, Johnston 40

Dante Aviles-Santos scored 23 points as Cumberland topped Johnston 62-40 in a non-league tuneup. Colin Mories scored 11 points for the Clippers and Shane Calabro and Jack Proctor both added six in the win. Tom Zednik led the Panthers with 13 points.
