The U.S. government continues to fund Saudi military strikes in Yemen, despite recent attempts by the Senate to halt U.S. involvement in the war that has pushed 14 million people toward starvation. That is approximately 14 times the entire population of Rhode Island!

The U.S. shares in the responsibility for this horror: U.S.-supported Saudi airstrikes are killing innocent families in Yemen and are fueling hunger and disease by destroying health clinics, schools, factories and farms with our weapons. Right now, a civilian dies every three hours from the fighting in Yemen!

Our leaders, including Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Jack Reed, both Rhode Island Democrats, should pressure the Trump administration to end its sale of weapons to Saudi Arabia, to call for a cease-fire, and to reinvest in peace and the people of Yemen.
