I agree with Channing Gray's review on the final concert of the Kingston Chamber Music Festival that featured a strong performance from superstar violinist Hilary Hahn (“Violinist Hilary Hahn was well worth the wait,” Aug. 6). But the real star was Kensho Watanabe, associate conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra, who led a small chamber orchestra with precision, insightfulness and passion. He is a rising star and was just extended by the Philadelphia for a third year.

He should be on the radar of the Rhode Island Philharmonic.
