CRANSTON — The state's June jobs report showed the unemployment rate was steady, while the number of jobs in the state rose and the work force — the number of people working or looking for work — fell.

Unemployment rate: 3.6% in June 2019, same as May 2019, down from 4.0% in June 2018.

Jobs in Rhode Island: 502,200 in June 2019, up 2,800 from May 2019, up 5,600 from June 2018.

Work force: 552,100 in June 2019, down 100 from May 2019, down 3,400 from June 2018.

Rhode Islanders with jobs: 532,400 in June 2019, up 300 from May 2019, down 1,100 from June 2018.

Rhode Islanders looking for work: 19,800 in June 2019, down 300 from May 2019, down 2,200 from June 2018.
