Elks Scholarships

NEWPORT – The Elks National Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2018 scholarships, which will award more than $2.44 million to students across the nation.

The organization plans to distribute 500 scholarships – two $50,000 first place winners, two $40,000 second place winners, two $30,000 third place winners, 14 runner-up scholarships worth $20,000, and 480 semi-finalist scholarships worth $4,000.

Any high school senior that is an United States citizen may apply. Applicants are judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need. Applications are available online only.

Applications are also open for Elks legacy awards, which are available to children or grandchildren of dues-paying Elks members. For more information or to apply, visit enf.elks.org/leg. Applications are due by Feb. 1.
