JOHNSTON, R.I. -- A local man is facing drug dealing charges after authorities say they found $40,000-plus of cocaine in his Rotary Drive home.

Johnston and Providence police, after a lengthy joint investigation, executed a search warrant Thursday night at 18 Rotary Drive, where they found cocaine with an $45,000 estimated street value and packaging supplies,  Johnston police announced Friday in a press release.

The police charged Hovannes Yagoubian, 41, with manufacturing and possessing with intent to deliver up to 1 kilogram of cocaine; manufacturing and possessing marijuana with intent to deliver; and maintaining a narcotics nuisance, according to police.

In addition, police said they seized more than $17,000 in cash.

Yagoubian was held overnight and is expected to appear Friday in District Court in Warwick.
