PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A 24-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting Wednesday night, Providence police said.
Police said they were dispatched to Seabury Street just after 10 p.m. for a report that shots had been fired. When the police arrived, the victim was being taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he remained in critical condition Thursday morning, police said.
The victim’s mother told police that a black Honda two-door vehicle with three people inside of it pulled up to her son. Someone in the Honda asked him, “Where is my car?” before shooting him. The mother told police she thought she heard three shots and saw her son fall to the ground.
