NEWPORT — The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a possible missing person, according to a tweet posted at 11:15 a.m. today.

The tweet indicated a good Samaritan encountered an empty skiff north of the Jamestown Bridge and informed the Coast Guard. As of 11:15 a.m., there have been no reports of a missing person. However, there was orange juice found on the otherwise empty boat.

Jamestown Police had no information on the possible missing person.
