SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Two adults were arrested by the Smithfield police on Tuesday evening and charged with cocaine possession among other charges, according to authorities.

A search warrant was executed by police at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday at Copperfield's Burger and Beer House, 9 Cedar Swamp Rd., after a two-month investigation revealed that a female employee was selling cocaine from the business, said Capt. Michael Raeaume.

Alaina C. Bonafiglia, 33, of 5 Shari Dr., Johnston, and John F. Manfredi, 39, of 19 Sweetbriar St., Providence, were both arrested at the scene on charges of possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, and conspiracy to violate the uniform Controlled Substances Act, said Raeaume.

Bonafiglia received an additional charge of possession of buprenorphine hydrochloride and naloxone hydrochloride, authorities said.

The two were arraigned on those charges Wednesday morning in Kent County District Court.
