Comprehensive Community Action Program, Cranston

The Comprehensive Community Action Program is a social-services agency. Volunteers are needed for the food pantry, both to help clients select food and to clean and stock the pantry. Available shifts are Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or from 2 to 4 p.m.; Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A background check is required. MS Dream Center, Cranston

The MS Dream Center provides resources and support to people living with multiple sclerosis and their caregivers. The center needs a marketing intern to promote events and raise awareness through social media. Volunteers are also needed to help members with daily activities, such as preparing food, running errands, and completing yardwork. Contact: Anne at anne@msdreamcenter.org.

Providence Children’s Museum, Providence

The museum needs play guides to create a positive learning experience for children. The commitment is three hours a week for at least three months. Shifts are 8:30 a.m. to noon, noon to 3 p.m. and 2 to 5:30 p.m. Family volunteers (any adult/child pair) are needed to assist with educational programs and engage families in the exhibits. SVDP Rhode Island, Cranston
